Technology strategy

Deciding what to build, in what order, and what to leave alone.

The most valuable technology decisions are usually about what not to do. Sequencing, scope, and which problems are genuinely worth solving this year.

This is the work that makes every subsequent engagement cheaper, and it is the one most often skipped.

What this involves

Understanding what exists, what it costs to run, and where the organisation actually loses time and money. Then deciding what changes, in what order, with what dependencies, and what it is worth.

Decisions are recorded with their context, the options considered, the rationale and the consequences — so that in two years somebody can see why, rather than guessing.

The deliverable is a decision you can act on, not a deck.

We will not produce a strategy document that recommends only work we would do. If the right answer is a product you buy, or nothing at all, that is the answer.
