Existing systems

Modernising, integrating and repairing what already runs the business — usually without stopping it.

Most organisations do not need something new. They need the thing they have to stop costing them time, money and confidence.

The first question is always whether to repair or replace, and it is answered with evidence rather than instinct. Replacement is the expensive answer that feels decisive.

How we approach it

We start by reading the system and its data rather than by proposing an architecture. Constraints that look arbitrary usually encode something real that somebody has forgotten.

Changes are incremental and reversible. A migration that cannot be rolled back is a bet rather than a plan.

Where a system must keep running, we work behind a boundary — an interface the rest of the organisation depends on while what sits behind it is replaced piece by piece.

We will not recommend a rewrite because the code is unfamiliar, and we will not migrate data without a tested restore path.
